Two Highlighters Two Moods

I used to think highlighter was just… extra. Like something people added when they had time or wanted to be a bit dramatic. But after trying a few, I realized it’s actually one of those products that can quietly change everything—or completely steal the show, depending on what you pick.
Lately, I’ve been switching between two: Fenty Beauty Diamond and Maybelline Master Chrome. They’re honestly not even in the same mood.
Fenty Beauty Diamond
The first time I opened it, I wasn’t sure what to expect. It looks super sparkly in the pan, almost intimidating. I remember thinking, “this might be too much.” But then I tried it, and somehow it didn’t feel heavy at all. It’s more like light bouncing off your skin rather than sitting on top of it. What I like most is how it doesn’t try to be subtle. It catches attention in a fun way, especially under certain lighting.
Maybelline Master Chrome
This one is completely different. It’s the kind of product I don’t have to think too much about. I can just pick it up, swipe it on, and it works. The shine is smoother, more even, less sparkly compared to the Fenty one. It gives that “healthy glow” vibe without trying too hard. I’ve used this on rushed mornings, and it still makes me look a little more put together.
I don’t think one replaces the other. They do different things, and I’ve kind of accepted that. Some days I want glow that quietly blends in, other days I want something that catches the light every time I move. Both make sense—just not on the same day.
