Lip products are probably the one thing I reach for even on the most low-effort days. There’s something about adding a bit of color that instantly makes me feel more awake, like I tried—even when I didn’t.
Lately, I’ve been pairing two different kinds of lip products, and the combination has been surprisingly satisfying.

1. PAT McGRATH LABS Dramatique Mega Lip Pencil

This lip pencil feels like the kind of product that quietly does a lot of work. The texture is smooth enough to glide on without dragging, but still firm enough to give control. I usually use it to shape my lips first, especially on days when I want a cleaner look. The color payoff is strong, so even on its own, it doesn’t feel incomplete. What I like most is how it holds everything together—it gives structure, almost like a base that keeps the rest of the look from fading too quickly.

2. ESQA (REFILL) Cloud Kiss Refillable Powder Lipstick – Game Changer

This one has a completely different personality. The finish is soft and almost blurred, which gives that effortless, diffused look without needing much precision. I like tapping it lightly over the lip pencil instead of applying it heavily. It creates this layered effect that looks natural but still noticeable. The fact that it’s refillable also makes it feel a bit more thoughtful as a product choice, which I appreciate in the long run.
Using these two together has become a small routine I actually enjoy. One gives definition, the other softens everything back down. It’s not about perfection—it’s more about finding that balance between structured and relaxed. And somehow, that combination feels just right for everyday wear.
