If your skin constantly feels tight, flaky, or dehydrated, let's talk about one key ingredient: hyaluronic acid.
It works by attracting and holding onto moisture, making it a true lifesaver for dry skin. While hyaluronic acid moisturisers can sometimes be pricey, the right formula can be absolutely worth it.
I've been testing the following as night creams, since I currently use Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel during the day—and here are my honest thoughts!
1. Laneige Water Bank Blue Hyaluronic Cream (Normal to Dry Skin)
This cream delivers deep hydration without feeling heavy. The texture is smooth and comforting, and it has a light, pleasant fragrance that makes nighttime skincare feel extra luxurious. The blue hyaluronic acid helps draw moisture into the skin while locking it in, keeping dryness at bay.
2. Neutrogena Hydro Boost Hyaluronic Acid Night Cream
This is a solid, more affordable alternative that performs surprisingly well. The cream has a richer texture designed specifically for overnight use, helping the skin stay hydrated while you sleep. Formulated with hyaluronic acid, amino acids, and electrolytes, it supports the skin barrier and improves moisture retention.
Both of these moisturisers are excellent options for dry skin, especially if hydration is your top priority. Laneige offers a more luxurious experience, while Neutrogena delivers impressive results at a friendlier price point. Whichever you choose, hyaluronic acid will quickly become your skin's best friend—especially on dry, air-conditioned nights.
