A proper cleanse can completely change how your skin looks and feels.
After testing different methods, this routine has become my go-to for skin that feels truly clean without being tight or irritated. It's simple, effective, and honestly feels like a mini face at home.
1. Oil Cleanse on Dry Skin
Start with a Japanese Speedy Cleansing Oil and massage it onto dry skin. This step is all about breaking down makeup, sunscreen, and excess oil. The texture is light, not greasy, and it melts everything away effortlessly. Once water is added, it emulsifies beautifully and rinses off clean, leaving the skin soft and comfortable instead of stripped.
2. Micellar Water for Leftover Residue
After rinsing, go in with Micellar Water on a cotton pad. Gently sweep it across the face, focusing on areas like the hairline, nose, and jaw. This step catches anything the oil cleanser may have missed and feels especially soothing. It's effective without being harsh, which makes it great even for sensitive skin days.
3. Gel Cleanser to Deep Cleanse
Finish with a Gel Cleanser on damp skin. Massage it in and let it lightly foam as it works into the pores. This step removes lingering impurities while keeping the skin balanced. The result is a face that feels fresh, clean, and ready for the rest of your skincare routine.
This three-step double cleanse makes a noticeable difference. Skin feels deeply cleansed, smoother, and more receptive to serums and moisturizers afterward. It's thorough without overdoing it, and once you try it, going back to a single cleanse just doesn't feel the same!
