How to Make Besan Cheela with Paneer

Step 1: Prepare the Besan Batter
In a mixing bowl, combine besan, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, cumin seeds, carom seeds, and salt.
Gradually add water to the mixture while whisking to form a smooth, lump-free batter. It should have a pourable consistency, similar to pancake batter.
Step 2: Make the Paneer Filling
In a separate bowl, mix crumbled paneer with green chilli, garam masala, coriander, and a pinch of salt. Set aside.
Step 3: Cook the Cheela
Heat a non-stick pan or skillet over medium heat and lightly grease it with oil.
Pour a ladleful of batter onto the pan and spread it evenly into a thin circle.
Cook for 1-2 minutes until the edges start lifting, then flip it over.
Step 4: Add the Paneer Filling
Spread the paneer filling on half of the cheela and fold it over to form a semicircle.
Cook for another minute, pressing gently with a spatula, until the filling is warm.
Step 5: Serve and Enjoy!
Remove the cheela from the pan and serve hot with mint chutney, ketchup, or curd.
