Welcome, Lykkers! Hot, humid weather can make sunscreen feel like the hardest step in my morning routine. I want good protection, but I really don’t enjoy anything thick, sticky, or heavy sitting on my skin when I’m already sweating.
My three current picks all have around SPF 50 and give me a fresh, dewy finish rather than a flat matte look. I also find them comfortable enough for daily wear, although I still reapply whenever I’m spending a long time outside or sweating a lot.

1. Nature Republic Sun Stick — $18.66

This sun stick is such an easy option when I’m heading out and want something quick. The texture feels balmy and silky, so it glides across my skin without dragging. I like the fresh aloe scent, especially on hot days when I want my routine to feel refreshing. My favorite part is how easily I can reapply it over makeup without completely ruining the look.

2. Biore UV Aqua Rich Watery Essence — $18.90

This is easily my favorite of the three, and I’ve already finished two tubes. The texture is incredibly lightweight, and honestly, it barely feels like sunscreen once I’ve applied it. I love that it feels more like a moisturizer, so adding it to my morning skincare routine never feels like an extra chore. There’s also a slight cooling sensation when I put it on, which feels amazing when the weather is hot and humid.

3. Soon Jung Mild Defence Sun Cream — $12.90

I really like this one when my skin needs something gentle and uncomplicated. It’s a mineral sunscreen, but I don’t find the formula unbearably heavy even during warmer weather. It works well for sensitive skin, so I feel comfortable reaching for it when my skin is being a little fussy. One thing I have to mention is the white cast, especially on deeper skin tones, even when I take time to blend it in.
Hot weather already makes skincare feel like enough work, so sunscreen needs to be something I actually enjoy wearing. Biore UV Aqua Rich is still the one I reach for most because the watery texture feels effortless on my skin. Nature Republic is perfect when I want quick reapplication, while Soon Jung has a nice place in my routine when I want a gentle mineral formula. A good sunscreen should protect my skin without making me dread putting it on, and these three make humid days a little easier.
