Rating My Liquid Blushes

Hey Friends! Blush is probably one of the easiest makeup products to get me excited, especially when it has a pretty glow. But I’m picky about liquid blush. I want something that blends easily, gives me enough color, doesn’t turn patchy, and actually looks good once everything else is sitting on my skin.
I only own two high-end liquid blushes right now, and somehow they both earned a 10/10 from me. They’re completely different, though, so I reach for them depending on the kind of makeup I’m doing.

1. Charlotte Tilbury Glowgasm Beauty Light Wand in Peachgasm — $42 | 10/10

Peachgasm is such a pretty everyday shade. It gives my cheeks that soft, glowy flush that makes my whole makeup look a little more alive. The formula blends beautifully and melts into my makeup without much effort. It isn’t extremely pigmented right away, which I actually enjoy for everyday makeup because I can slowly build the color instead of accidentally applying too much.
The glow is definitely the star of the show. Because of the shimmer, though, it can emphasize texture a little more than a completely natural-looking blush. I also think the product sits somewhere between a blush and highlighter, which is probably why I love it so much. My only complaints? The price is definitely up there, and the sponge applicator can get messy if you aren’t careful. Still, when I want that fresh, glowy cheek look, I reach for this one.

2. Rare Beauty Soft Pinch Liquid Blush in Happy — $23 | 10/10

This blush is SO pigmented. I’m talking one tiny dot on each cheek and I’m basically good to go. It blends really nicely as long as I work with it before it starts setting, so I wouldn’t recommend applying a huge amount and then taking your time. A little goes a very long way with this formula, which also means the bottle lasts forever.
The shade range is beautiful, the doe-foot applicator makes placement easy, and once the blush sets, it stays looking gorgeous for hours. I also love how easily it works with the rest of my makeup without making everything underneath move around. This is the one I grab when I want my blush to actually be noticeable and give my makeup a more glam finish.
Charlotte Tilbury is my everyday pick when I want a soft, luminous flush. Rare Beauty is my choice when I’m doing a fuller makeup look and want my cheeks to stand out. So my high-end liquid blush collection may be tiny, but apparently I chose well. Now I’m curious — are you more into a subtle glowy flush or a bold, pigmented cheek?
