Toners used to confuse me. Some felt like water, some felt sticky, and some just sat there doing… nothing.
But after trying a few consistently, I started noticing how much they actually shape my skin’s mood—whether it stays calm, hydrated, or suddenly decides to act up. These three have all had their moment on my shelf, and here’s how I’d rate them based on real use, not just first impressions.

1. True To Skin Mugwort Cica Toner — 8.5/10

This one feels like that quiet friend who shows up exactly when you need them. Whenever my skin gets a bit sensitive or looks slightly red for no clear reason, I reach for this. The texture is light, almost watery, but it carries a soothing effect that builds over time. It’s not dramatic—you won’t wake up with magically perfect skin—but there’s a steady calming presence to it. What keeps it from being a perfect score? It doesn’t give much hydration on its own.

2. N’Pure Centella Asiatica Toner — 8/10

This one feels a bit more straightforward—simple, refreshing, no unnecessary drama. I like using it when my skin is behaving normally and just needs maintenance. It absorbs quickly, doesn’t leave any heavy feeling, and works well in a routine where you’re layering other products. But here’s the thing—it doesn’t stand out too much. It’s good, reliable, but not particularly memorable. It’s the kind of toner you appreciate quietly rather than get excited about.

3. Pyunkang Yul Calming Deep Moisture Toner — 9/10

This one surprised me in the best way. The texture is slightly thicker than the others, and it feels like it actually does something the moment it touches your skin. On days when my skin feels dry or just tired, this is the one I instinctively reach for. It gives that soft, hydrated feeling that lingers—not sticky, just comfortably moisturized. Sometimes I even feel like my skin looks healthier right after applying it.
I don’t think any of them are “the best” in every situation. It really depends on what your skin feels like when you wake up. And honestly, that’s what makes toners interesting—they’re not just a step, they’re a response to your skin on that particular day.
