For most of my life, my skincare routine has stayed extremely simple—just a gentle cleanser, a moisturizer, and something targeted for acne.
I’ve always believed that keeping it minimal works best for my sensitive, breakout-prone skin. But recently, I introduced a few new products that have truly elevated my routine without complicating it. Here’s what I added and why they’ve made such a difference!
1. GUA SHA - SACHEU
- I use my gua sha twice a day—once in the morning and again at night as part of my cleansing routine.
- Most people use a face oil with their gua sha, but because my skin is sensitive and acne-prone, I was hesitant to introduce an oil.
- After doing some research, I discovered that you can actually use a gua sha with your cleanser instead, as long as your skin stays slippery.
2. SUNSCREEN - Innisfree
- I apply this sunscreen after my moisturizer has had a few minutes to absorb.
- I used to be confused about the correct order, but this method keeps everything smooth and prevents pilling.
- It layers well whether I’m doing a minimal skincare day or preparing for a full makeup look.
3. EYE CREAM - The Inkey List
- I wanted something simple yet effective to brighten and hydrate my under-eye area without overwhelming my skin.
- The Inkey List offers gentle formulas that work well for sensitive skin, making it an easy choice.
- It fits seamlessly into my routine and adds that extra boost of moisture I didn’t realize I was missing.
Adding these three products has made my skincare feel more intentional and effective without making things complicated. Each item serves a purpose, works well with my sensitive, acne-prone skin, and gives me results I can actually see. If you’re looking to enhance your routine while still keeping things simple, these additions might be worth trying!
