Pressed powders are one of those makeup categories where drugstore formulas can absolutely compete with high-end options.
Even though I haven't experimented much with luxury powders, these two affordable picks have performed so well that I've never felt the need to spend more.
1. N°7 Lift & Illuminate Pressed Powder
- Silky, finely milled texture
- Blurs pores nicely
- Limited shade range (only three shades available)
- Great for setting the under-eye area before loose powder
- Brightens and locks makeup in place all day
- Feels more luxurious than its price point
2. Covergirl Advanced Radiance Pressed Powder
- Lightweight, finely milled texture
- Blurs pores instantly
- Provides long-lasting hold
- Ideal for under-eye setting before loose powder
- Brightens the complexion
- Gives an airbrushed, soft-focus finish
- Helps minimize under-eye creasing
The Covergirl Advanced Radiance Pressed Powder is the one I reach for the most, especially since the N°7 formula has changed. It keeps my under-eyes crease-free, brightens key areas, blurs texture, and leaves my skin looking smooth and airbrushed. For the price, it's an incredible perform and a perfect example of why you don't need high-end powders for a flawless find!
