Social media has been buzzing non-stop about these mascaras, and with so many rave reviews online, I had to test them myself.
As someone who loves a good lash moment, I wanted to see which ones truly live up to the hype and which ones fall short. Here's my honest breakdown of each!
1. Rare Beauty Perfect Universal Volumizing Mascara
Let's start with the Rare Beauty Mascara, which definitely impressed me. It gives incredible length and volume without feeling heavy or clumpy. The wand is on the thicker side, but surprisingly, it's still easy to work with and coats every lash evenly. The best part? It doesn't smudge or flake throughout the day, even in humid weather. I also love how well it holds a curl, which is a major win for my lashes.
2. Tower 28 MakeWaves Mascara
Next up is the Tower 28 MakeWaves Mascara. This one features a curved wand, which is great for adding length and separating the lashes. It gives a really defined look without clumps — perfect if you already have naturally thick or long lashes.
However, for me personally, it didn't add much volume, and I noticed that it weighed my lashes down shortly after application. While it's not a total miss, it just didn't give me the lift or fullness I was hoping for.
3. ILIA Limitless Lash Mascara
Lastly, we have the ILIA Limitless Lash Mascara — one that I was super excited to try after seeing all the glowing reviews. Unfortunately, this one didn't live up to the hype for me. While I appreciated the dual-sided wand (one for building and one for separating), it still clumped easily and felt a bit heavy on my lashes.
So, there you have it — my honest thoughts on three of the most talked-about mascaras out there. The Rare Beauty Mascara definitely takes the crown for its perfect balance of length, volume, and staying power. The Tower 28 MakeWaves Mascara might be a solid choice if you prefer a natural, separated look, while the ILIA Limitless Lash sadly didn't meet my expectations.
