For the past eight years as a freelance makeup artist, I’ve tried countless eyeshadow palettes.
Finding a palette that works beautifully on every skin tone can be tricky, but these palettes have consistently impressed me and my clients. Here are some of my favorites!

1. The Makeup by Mario Master Mattes Palette

This palette is a staple in my kit and my go-to for nearly every client. Even if I only reach for one of the transition shades, it blends like a dream. The palette offers a perfect mix of cool, neutral, and warm tones, making it incredibly versatile. Honestly, the entire Makeup by Mario line at Sephora is worth exploring.

2. Colourpop Dream St. Palette

One of the cutest palettes I’ve owned, this one combines shimmery shades with soft mattes. I always bring it along when clients want a gentle, shimmery glam look. It also had two fun pops of color, which I loved. Sadly, this palette is no longer available, as it was part of a Kathleen Lights collaboration.

3. The Warrior II By Juvia's Palette

This one used to hold the top spot in my kit, and despite a little wear and tear (RIP the black shade that fell out), it’s still a favorite. I love the pigmentation and how smoothly it applies. I originally picked this palette up at Ulta, and it continues to deliver great results for everyday looks or bolder eye styles.

4. One Size Visionary Palette

When I want to create a cool-toned look, this palette is my first pick. It offers both matte and shimmer shades along with a subtle pop of color. The shades blend beautifully and allow for versatility in creating everything from soft daytime looks to evening glam.
These neutral palettes are reliable, versatile, and flattering on a variety of skin tones. Each has its own strengths, whether it’s smooth blending, fun pops of color, or perfect transition shades. For anyone searching for dependable eyeshadow options, these palettes are a solid starting point.
