Growing out my hair has been an exciting journey, but it also brought an unexpected challenge—back acne.
At first, it affected my confidence, but I’ve learned that body acne is completely normal and manageable with the right routine. Over time, I found a few products and habits that keep my skin clear, smooth, and calm. Here’s how I take care of it!

1. Gentle Daily Cleanser

The first step in my routine is using a mild, skin-friendly soap every day. I’ve also added the Red Body Soap from Medicube a few times a week. It’s made specifically for acne-prone skin and helps cleanse the pores without causing dryness or irritation. The texture feels soothing, and the fresh, powdery scent makes it a refreshing part of my shower routine. It’s gentle yet effective, helping to reduce breakouts over time.

2. Medicube Red Body Scrub

After cleansing, I like to use the Red Body Scrub from the same line. This sugar-based exfoliant is soft on the skin but powerful enough to remove buildup and dead cells that can clog pores. I only apply it to my back, focusing on areas where acne tends to appear. It gives a slight warming sensation at first but fades quickly, leaving my skin smooth, clean, and renewed after rinsing.

3. Peter Thomas Roth Therapeutic Sulfur Mask

Once a week, I take things a step further with the Peter Thomas Roth Therapeutic Sulfur Mask. This treatment contains 10% sulfur, which is known for its acne-fighting properties. It deeply purifies the pores and helps minimize active breakouts. I use it not only on my back but sometimes on my face too. After rinsing, my skin feels clearer, less inflamed, and overall more balanced.
Dealing with body acne takes patience and consistency, but it’s absolutely manageable. My routine—using a gentle cleanser, exfoliating with a mild scrub, and treating with a sulfur mask—has helped me feel more confident in my skin. With regular care and the right products, those pesky breakouts are no longer a source of stress, just another part of self-care and healing!
