Hot weather and environmental factors can also contribute to a flaky scalp. After consulting my dermatologist, I've followed a simple yet effective routine that keeps my scalp healthy and hair looking nourished.
Here's the breakdown!

1. Anti-Dandruff Shampoo 2-3 Times a Week

Using a medicated shampoo like Selsun Blue helps control itchiness and reduce flakes. I apply it directly to the scalp and leave it on for 2-3 minutes before rinsing, allowing the active ingredients to work effectively. This step is key to preventing buildup and keeping the scalp clean.

2. Gentle Cleansing on Non-Shampoo Days

On days when I'm not using an anti-dandruff shampoo, I use a regular shampoo that deeply cleanses the scalp. I focus the application on the scalp only, avoiding the ends to prevent dryness. This keeps my hair fresh without over-stripping natural oils.

3. Nourishing Conditioner Daily

A conditioner that nourishes and detoxifies the hair is essential for maintaining healthy strands. I apply it only to the ends to avoid product buildup on the scalp. This step keeps my hair soft, smooth, and hydrated while supporting overall scalp health.
