Hey Friends! Lip balm is one of those little products I always like having nearby. A good one can add comfort, a hint of color, or even some extra protection when my lips need it.
MDSolarSciences Dream and NARS Afterglow Stargaze take two different approaches, so both have a place in my makeup bag.
1. MDSolarSciences Hydrating Sheer Lip Balm SPF 30 — Dream
Dream is the kind of lip balm I’d reach for during the day when I want something simple but still a little pretty. The sheer finish gives the lips a soft touch of color, while SPF 30 makes it especially useful for daytime wear. I like products that combine a makeup-like finish with everyday lip care. Dream would work nicely on its own with minimal makeup, or underneath a little gloss when I want more shine. For errands, coffee runs, or days spent outside, this feels like an easy product to keep within reach.
2. NARS Afterglow Lip Balm — Stargaze
Stargaze has that soft baby-pink look that instantly makes the lips appear sweeter and more polished. It’s subtle enough for everyday makeup, but still gives the face a little extra color. I’d wear this with cream blush, brushed brows, and mascara for a quick five-minute look. The shade also makes it easy to reapply without worrying too much about getting the edges perfectly precise. This is definitely the one I’d toss into my bag when I want a little makeup without committing to a full lipstick.
Dream is my pick when daytime protection and a sheer tint are priorities, while Stargaze is perfect for that soft baby-pink lip look. Both are easy, low-effort options for days when lipstick feels like too much but bare lips feel a little unfinished.
