My Go-To Matte Lips!

· Fashion team
Hey Lykkers! A good matte lipstick can completely change how I feel about a makeup look. Some days I want a classic red that does all the talking, while other days I just want something I can swipe on and forget about.
Lately, I’ve been drawn to matte formulas that give my lips a strong finish without making the whole makeup routine feel complicated.
1. MAED Signature Lip Pigment Matte Liquid Lipstick — Ritual Red
Ritual Red is the kind of shade that makes me want to keep the rest of my makeup simple. I love a classic red lip when I’m wearing minimal eye makeup because it instantly gives the look more character. The liquid format also makes it easy to build the color gradually. One layer can feel polished and clean, while adding a little more creates a much bolder statement. For dinner plans, a special event, or simply one of those days when I want to feel extra put together, this is the red I’d reach for.
2. Maybelline SuperStay Matte Ink — Pioneer
Pioneer has that unmistakable classic-red energy I never really get tired of. It’s bold, confident, and very easy to make the star of a makeup look. What draws me to the SuperStay Matte Ink range is the long-wearing appeal. I tend to prefer lipsticks that don’t require constant checking throughout the day, especially when I’m busy or heading out for several hours. I’d pair Pioneer with softly defined brows, a little mascara, and barely-there eye makeup. Letting the red take center stage makes the whole look feel intentional without needing much else.
3. L'Oréal Paris Infallible Lacque Resistance — Red Bisou
Red Bisou gives me a slightly different mood. It still has that gorgeous red-lip impact, but I find myself wanting to style it in a softer, more relaxed way. This is the lipstick I’d choose when I want my lips to stand out while keeping the rest of my makeup uncomplicated. A touch of blush, subtle eye definition, and Red Bisou can be enough to pull everything together.
A red lip never really feels boring to me. Change the finish, the outfit, or even the eye makeup, and suddenly the same red lipstick can tell a completely different story. Sometimes, all a makeup look needs is one confident swipe of color.
