Hello Readers! I went through a phase where I was constantly trying new foundations, hoping I'd find one that looked good in real life and not just under perfect lighting. Some became staples in my routine, while others taught me that a high-coverage formula isn't always the answer.
Here's my honest ranking after wearing each one for quite a while.
1. L'Oréal Infallible Foundation
Rating: 8/10
This foundation makes me laugh because I was absolutely obsessed with it in seventh grade. Back then, I thought my makeup looked flawless. Looking at old photos now? Not exactly. The coverage is definitely there, but the formula feels much heavier than what I enjoy wearing today. After a few hours, my skin can start looking a little too matte and makeup-like. I understand why younger me loved it, but my preferences have changed a lot since then.
2. Maybelline Fit Me Dewy + Smooth
Rating: 10/10
Whenever I want a foundation that gives coverage without making my skin feel suffocated, this is the one I grab. The finish has a healthy glow that never looks greasy, and it sits beautifully on my skin from morning to evening. Even when I build up the coverage, it still looks smooth and natural. I've never had an issue with it looking thick or patchy.
If I had to choose only one, Maybelline Fit Me Dewy + Smooth would win without hesitation. It gives me the coverage I want while still looking like real skin. Infallible is probably staying in my makeup memories rather than my shopping cart. Have you tried any of these? Or is there a drugstore foundation that completely surprised you? I'm always adding products to my wishlist, so let me know what I should test next!
