Hello Lykkers! Taking off makeup is honestly one of the least exciting parts of getting ready for bed, but having a remover that actually works makes such a difference. I’ve tried a few different approaches, and lately I’ve been rotating between a cleansing water and my favorite cleansing balm.
Everyone seems to have their own method, so I wanted to share what has been working for me lately and which option I reach for most.

1. Cleansing Water — Mixsoon Centella Cleansing Water

This is the one I’ve been using recently, and I’m really enjoying it for everyday makeup. A few gentle swipes are usually enough to lift away most of what I’m wearing without making my skin feel stripped or uncomfortably tight afterward. The texture is super light, which makes it an easy first step when I’m tired and just want to get my makeup off quickly. One thing worth mentioning: waterproof mascara is a different story. It doesn’t come off as easily with this cleansing water, so I’d definitely keep that in mind when wearing long-wear eye makeup.

2. Cleansing Balm — Banila Co Clean It Zero

Cleansing balm is probably my favorite way to remove makeup. I love not having to rely on a cotton pad because I can simply massage the balm onto my makeup and rinse it away. The Banila Co balm has been a favorite for that reason. It starts as a balm, then transforms into a creamier texture as I work it through my makeup. Watching everything melt away is oddly satisfying. A small, nickel-sized amount is enough for a full face, so I don’t need to scoop out a huge amount every time.
For quick removal, Mixsoon Cleansing Water has been really convenient. But when I’m wearing a full face of makeup, Banila Co Cleansing Balm wins for me. I’m always curious about makeup-removing products, because finding one that gets everything off without leaving an uncomfortable feeling makes the whole nighttime routine so much easier.
