Some cleansers leave my skin feeling squeaky, while others don't seem to remove much at all. Finding one that gives a fresh, comfortable finish without that tight feeling has taken plenty of trial and error.
Recently, I spent time using two popular picks, and both brought something different to my routine. If anyone else is trying to decide between them, here's my honest experience.
1. I'm From Rice Whip Cleanser
The first thing I noticed was the soft, creamy foam. It felt rich but still rinsed away easily, leaving my skin clean without making it feel stripped. I also liked that my skin stayed comfortable even after washing, especially on days when it already felt a little dry. What stood out most was how smooth and refreshed my complexion looked after a week or two of regular use. It removed sunscreen and daily buildup well, although I still reached for a cleansing balm before it whenever I wore heavier makeup.
2. Whitelab pH-Balanced Cleanser
This one surprised me because of how lightweight it felt. The gel texture transformed into a soft lather that washed away oil and dirt while keeping my skin feeling balanced. I never had that uncomfortable, overly-clean sensation after rinsing. I especially enjoyed using this cleanser during humid weather. My skin felt fresh, yet it didn't become dry afterward. Since it's pH-balanced, it seemed to work well for everyday cleansing, and it paired nicely with the rest of my skincare routine without making anything feel too heavy.
Both are solid choices, and I don't think there's a wrong answer. It really comes down to what my skin needs at that moment rather than sticking to just one cleanser all year. That's my little cleanser diary for today! If a new face wash has been sitting on the wishlist for a while, hopefully this comparison makes the choice a little easier. Sometimes the smallest switch in a routine can make getting ready each morning feel just a bit more satisfying.
