Lykkers, I always find blush more interesting when the product has its own personality.
Some shades give a soft, everyday feeling, while others make the makeup look instantly more polished. Even the finish can change the whole mood of the final look.
This time, I’m comparing the FOCALLURE Perfection Velvet Blush in shade 301 with the COLORROSE Embossed Powder Blush from the Baroque Garden collection. Both look beautiful in their own way, but they give me completely different vibes.
1. FOCALLURE Perfection Velvet Blush in Shade 301
The FOCALLURE Perfection Velvet Blush in shade 301 gives me a soft and smooth impression. The word “velvet” already makes me think of a more muted finish, and I can imagine this blush working beautifully with simple everyday makeup. What I like about this type of blush is how easy it can be to adjust. I can start with a small amount for a gentle flush, then add more colour when I want my cheeks to look a little more noticeable.
Shade 301 feels like the kind of colour I would reach for when I want my makeup to look neat but not overly done. A little blush can bring warmth to the face, especially when paired with soft eye makeup and a natural lip colour.
2. COLORROSE Embossed Powder Blush from the Baroque Garden
The COLORROSE Embossed Powder Blush immediately catches my attention because of the design. I am definitely the type of person who notices beautiful packaging and decorative powder patterns before even trying the product. The Baroque Garden inspiration gives the blush a more luxurious and romantic feeling. It looks like the kind of makeup product that would make me pause for a second before using it because the embossed design is simply too pretty.
Beyond the appearance, I can imagine this blush working well for anyone who enjoys a more elegant makeup style. It feels like a product that can add a decorative touch to a beauty collection while still being something I would happily reach for when creating a polished cheek look.
The FOCALLURE Perfection Velvet Blush feels more suitable for simple, everyday makeup. I like the idea of having a blush that can quietly add colour without making the whole look feel too dramatic. COLORROSE feels more special to me because the Baroque Garden design adds so much charm. It is the kind of product I would enjoy having on my makeup table, especially when I want something that feels a little more luxurious.
