Some palettes feel like they belong to a certain mood. Not just colors on a tray, but something you reach for depending on how you want to show up that day.
I didn’t expect to enjoy switching between two very different styles, but somehow the contrast makes it more interesting.
Lately, it’s been the Tarte Toasted Eyeshadow Palette and the Rom&nd Better Than Palette 01 Pampas Garden taking turns on my table.
1. Tarte Toasted Eyeshadow Palette
This one feels grounded, almost like warm sunlight at the end of the day. The tones lean earthy—browns, copper, a bit of warmth that makes everything look more defined without trying too hard. I usually reach for it when I want something reliable. The kind of look that works without second-guessing. I’ve noticed it gives a slightly more polished finish, even when I’m in a rush and not blending as carefully as I should.
2. Rom&nd Better Than Palette 01 Pampas Garden
This palette feels softer, almost airy in comparison. The colors don’t shout; they sit quietly and give a gentle wash across the eyes. There’s something about it that makes the whole look feel lighter, more relaxed. I tend to pick this when I’m not in the mood for intensity. It’s the kind of palette that lets your natural features show through instead of covering them up.
Having both makes my routine feel less predictable. One leans warm and structured, the other soft and understated. And depending on the day, I find myself somewhere in between, letting the palette decide the mood rather than the other way around.
