Makeup Set Must!

Putting together a makeup set always feels a bit like building a mood rather than just picking products.
I don’t always go for a full routine, but when I do, I like having a few pieces that can stand on their own yet still work together without trying too hard.
These three somehow ended up becoming that kind of trio for me.

1. ILIA Color Block Lipstick

This lipstick has a presence. The color payoff is strong, but it doesn’t feel overdone—it’s more like a clear statement rather than something loud. I like how it instantly pulls everything together, even when the rest of my makeup is minimal. The texture leans comfortable, so I don’t feel like I have to keep checking it. It’s usually the first thing I decide on, because once the lip is set, the rest kind of follows.

2. Holika Holika Red Velvet

A soft, highly pigmented eyeshadow line from Holika Holika inspired by rich red and berry-toned shades. It typically features smooth, blendable textures that can be layered for both subtle daytime looks and bold, dramatic eye makeup. The formula is designed to deliver good color payoff with minimal fallout, making it easy to create gradient eye styles using warm red velvet-inspired hues.

3. Mother of Pearl Bloom Maximum Intensity Pigment Blusher

This one brings everything to life. The color has a vibrancy that wakes up the face almost instantly, but it can be softened depending on how much you apply. I like how flexible it is—sometimes just a hint for a natural flush, other times a bit more when I want that fresh, just-outside kind of glow. It doesn’t sit quietly; it adds that finishing touch that makes the whole look feel complete.
What I enjoy most is how these three don’t compete. The lipstick sets the tone, the eyeshadow adds warmth, and the blush ties everything together. It’s not a complicated combination, but it feels intentional without being heavy.
