Red lipstick has this strange way of changing the pace of a day. It doesn’t really ask for permission—once it’s on, everything else tends to fall into place around it.
I’ve been rotating between two reds lately, and even though both sit in the same color family, they don’t feel anything alike once they’re actually on the lips.

1. Revlon ColorStay Matte Lite Crayon

This one feels easy, almost casual in the way it wears. The crayon format already sets the tone—it’s the kind of lipstick you don’t have to think too hard about. The red isn’t overly dramatic; it comes in more like a softened statement rather than a bold announcement. What stands out most is how lightweight it feels after application.
It doesn’t sit heavy or overly dry in a harsh way, so I tend to reach for it when I want color but still want things to feel relaxed.

2. M·A·C Viva Glam Sia Lipstick

This one carries a very different mood. It feels deeper, more theatrical in a subtle sense, like it knows it’s meant to be noticed. The tone of red leans stronger and more defined, the kind that changes how the whole face reads in a mirror. There’s a certain confidence in how it applies. Even a simple outfit starts to feel more composed once this shade is part of the look.
These two just happen to cover both sides of that feeling without needing much explanation!
